Thing is, its been unridden & undercover for the last 6 months so it was just a random bike sitting there under the cover rather, than an SV to anybody passing, which makes me think that someone was trying to nick it.

Is it worth running a poll to see who thinks they're coming back?
Would it even start after lying for so long?

Probably with a bit of work, they might come back with a van though.

Sidenote: stop neglecting your bike

My GSXR was literally lifted by four thieves, locks cut off, out through security gates, hard wired and ridden off at 3am one night last year. You were lucky....get it locked out of sight if possible, they will be back.

My mate had his front door kicked down and bike dragged out.
