Unless my visor is really really cruddy, I simply rinse it with water as others have suggested, and wipe with a soft cloth.
Visors do have an anti-scratch surface applied, but its not perfect and once you get a deep enough mark, then this facilitates further scratches to occur. If my visor is really dirty, then I use a very mild soapy solution. I dont have to clean my visor enough this way to really need to buy the more specialist cleaning products ![]() |

Lawks- you should see the state of my visors!
Admittedly, my clear visor is unuseable now- one of the tabs that holds it on the helmet is broken. But I think I was a bit keen with my visors in terms of taking them off and washing them with hot water and a (very small) touch of hand soap- there are stress cracks right across them. Plus my dark visor is all scuffed up as it got a bit of a scrape cos of clumsy me. I can cope with it, but it's not ideal... |

I just spit on it
![]() with a handkerchief. Been doing this for 6 years now. Of course, the visor has a lot of scratches but I can still see through it. |

Spit on the bugs and dirt. Leave for a min. Then wipe off with toilet role. Sorted.
