So I had a go, got all the straps on but I'm concerned I've not done the front one correctly as there's shedloads of spare strapping. Please can someone advise me!

That is on wrong.
Pass the strap all the way UNDER the headstock. In between frame and little plastic thingy above the radiator. |

Was unsure where abouts that strap was meant to be going, so many wires! |
