For me the most annoying answers normally follow questions relating to directions / locations. A lot of people don't know the difference when specifically asked where somehere is, or how far away it is, to relate a previous conversation:

Me: 'Dad, where is Aberdeen?'
Dad: 'You take this road to there, then that road to there, and then another road...(5 minutes)...'

My sister's (correct) answer: '2/3 up the right side sticky outy bit of Scotland'
Me: 'And breath '

Even worse when they start giving directions, you tell them you don't know where they are referring to..... and they keep going. How the h*ck am I supposed to remember directions from somewhere I don't know?!

In this day and age a postcode and a house number will suffice if giving directions thank you very much.

In fact..... all long answers. I hate them. Was my last reply long??

Case in point.... Monday morning at work: When you ask someone if they had a good weekend and they give you a long and full answer, without ever getting to the actual point. Fair enough if they say 'Yes, good' and you ask them for more details but to launch into a full diatribe gets on my t1ts like nothing else. If I have the patience I might let them finish and respond with 'So, in summary: 'Yes Thanks''.

There is a lot to be said for summarising. An intelligent person makes something complicated sound simple, it is a true sense of an idiot that can make something simple sound complicated. IT consultants spring to mind.

AAAAARRRRGGGHHHH!

How about, "whats the best way to Aberdeen"?

And when the idiot replied, "by helicopter."

"Do you think i'd bedressed like this if i was in a bl88dy helicopter."

And relax 2,3,4
