I believe some tracks will not allow riders with two-piece suits, therefore that may also need to be a consideration, if you're planning on heading to a track any time in the not-so very distant future.

As far as I am aware, all trackday organisers specify 1-piece ot 2 piece that zip together all the way round.

No problems with either of my 2-piece suits @ Brands.

correct you can only get on track with zip together 2 piece or one piece leathers

2 piece with edz base layers does the job for me http://www.edz.biz/bike/layersystem.html

you want the leathers to be a good fit so it supports/hold your body when riding or falling...

I don't think that there is an option that covers every situation well. As already said, one piece leathers offer the best protection, but can be a pain in the backside when off the bike. Leathers also aren't that warm in cooler weather, especially the perforated ones. It's very much a personal thing. I've got a 2 piece but never zip them together, I never seem to have a problem with draughts. If it's cool I can fit a base layer and a thin fleece under the jacket. I also use the trousers witha textile jacket when the weather is a bit iffy. I'd like a one piece, but I need to save some pennies first. I think having gear that you can mix and match with the weather conditions is the way forward.

Thats wise words.

I've got textiles as well as my leathers but prefer to "layer up" under my leathers rather than use my textiles.
My leathers are perforated and have fabric patches as well so can be a bit chilly on occaision.
I do carry a windproof jacket under the spare seat in case i get really cold.
