I can, but then I've known Tim for a while now!

Only jokin Tim, we used to have the same problem with people parking at the butty shop on the corner of the estate - In the end the shop owner put up signs asking people to park considerately (and more to the point, legally), because the local traffic wardens did sweet FA when we complained to them...

Hi Tim,

that part of the A6 is terrible anyway - my mate dropped his gixxer there a few years ago - for similar scenario. I was nearly knocked down on that crossing also - for the same reason (HGV stopped outside what used to be Dansons papershop) blocking the drivers line of sight.

OK, why do I get annoyed?

Well the zebra crossing you can see, that was installed after the lad who lived across the road from me (Jamie Hollick) was killed crossing where the white van is parked. His dad was the local police sergeant who was called out to a fatality on the A6.

There have been a number of complaints made about this. twice a traffic warden has appeared and told them to move, they then come back once he goes.

and no I have never phoned the traffic wardens

Remember hearing about that - terrible, as he wasn't that old from what I remember.

Same situation at our place Tim - a couple of high-school kids got knocked down & they eventually installed one of those crossing islands but still people were parking stupidly. Most of the time they were customers at the shop too and just couldn't be arsed to park a few yards further down while they went in to get their bacon sarnie...
