I got done for speeding in similar conditions. Cops right enough but...

44 in a 30. Blatantly ******** as I was at the end of a row of cars trundling through a village.

Cop later tells me, "We can't pull over cars here cos its too dangerous (on this stretch of road... a sweeping corner but still in a 30 limit.)" Thats what you are up against.

I had only been riding a few years at the time and was still a bit green in dealing with these type of morons.

Good luck fella. You are an easy target.

And Back from the depths i bring it all people!

got another letter through with actual details and a statement from the pcso who used the gun.
its a LTi 20.20 ...know for problems and general inacuracy.
i was alegedly clocked at 300m away..and there was no tripod.

would just like to know if any of this is worth fighting for as i can do the maths and prove the error as below ....or am i just letting it get to me.
those with knowhow of law any info would be greatly appiciated.

ive already worked out the maths that even 1degree movement will make a 5m error on my end which if hitting a static target will add at least 22mph to my recorded speed, which would make it the suposid 55mph i was doing which is rather impossible for the road conditions mind you.

Sounds as if you're fairly confident. Good luck, let us know how you get on.

argue it, when i was issued a section 59 on the car i went to the cop shop to see the bloke that signed the letter...... turned out to be complete bullsugar, my car was just parked in an area that barryboys were in causing agro, my numberplate was documented by a PCo even tho it was parked and i was in lectures

have they said they are going to "do" you or are they threatening you?

i have summons but have told them i cant attend.

Strange thing is ive looked into it and a pcso was the one doing the gun checks
but all alone....and legally they arnt allowed to do that only a police officer is which i take it they are not??

just wondering is there anything i should be doing that im not apart from a tone of research into who has what powers and what the law says on it all.

Assuming you are going to plead 'Not Guilty' I'd have thought that this is better done in person than by letter (imo)...is there no way you can attend?

does the gun have a calibration certificate for that day?

is there photographic evidence it was pointed at your vehicle?

how can they state that you were speeding when the car in front was not and the car behind was not, this defies the laws of physics.

get a brief to take it to court m8.

cant make it for sure...exam but seeing if it can be moved.
Definatly pleading not guilty and have all the physics worked out, previous motorcycles cases and the ommited flaws of the gun by the manufacturere.

no certificate or evidence just her word against mine bibio, but statement says it was calibrated against a sign ...didnt think pcso's had that sort of specitalist training let alone highly calibrated specialist equipment to do it on the side of the road.
also the pcso was alone....no witness statement again i thought iligall as she has no power to do this sort of thing, as the law contstanly repeats "only a police cunstable may offer an opinion on wheather some one is speeding" which they must do before they take a reading on you.
