Yes, I turn the rear regularly, especially at tracks like Lydden where you won't make one rear last all day without turning it. Usually Dunlop slicks, but I've done it with road tyres as well. Technically you shouldn't ride on the road with a tyre fitted the wrong way round as it's illegal. You'd be hard pushed to find a copper that would notice but if you did have any sort of serious incident a vehicle examination would find it.
