Sorry I somehow didnt finish all of my sentence, thats what you get for typing while chatting on the phone to GG!

I mean, what about the iPhone in relation to problems etc as some people said they were rubbish, but recently others have been showing me their phones and saying they are great.

Im looking at getting one for myself and Mr VT so I want some advice and also if anyone knows where we can get the best deal on this?

The laptop will stay as I have to download and prind drawings etc in pdf format.

Really dont know which would suit better.
I know I would rather retrieve my email rather than having it pushed to me ala blackberry though so it doesnt keep going off in my pocket.
Feel free to PM me any questions re the Hero/Android options...

The iphone is an awsome bit of kit .....and the bad points about the phone wouldnt bother a regular user like your self .
Its more for us techy types that there is a few flaws but all in all the iphone IMO is an excelent all round device .

Hero works well with exchange. Easy to setup like iphone. Battery is ok but at least you can change it for a high power version.

Supports multiple IMAP and POP3 accounts and it seems that the T-Mobile G2 Touch (HTC Hero) supports MS Exchange if thats important for you.

Doesnt to push email like a Crackberry, but you can configure the time interval to check new mail to whatever you want.

As said - forget the Blackberrys, 'causes us no end of problems at work.

I've just got the HTC HD2 (runs windows mobile) and the mail push works a treat on it. You'll be charging the battery every night, but to me that is acceptable.

I had heard about the Exchange stuff being fine, but as I have not actually used it I couldnt comment.

Setup is good, especially if you are Gmail/Google user.

Didnt know about the high-cap battery tho - this is one thing it DOES need unless you are VERY careful at keeping WiFi/GPS/Bluetooth switched off when not needed. Can you post a link to said item?
