CBR600 = compitent comfortable a little on the boring side amounst it's peer group

ZX6R = up until 2002 a fairly rounded model and comfy to, engine has a fair amount of character for the type

GXSR6 = good fun but not as everyday as the other two, better trackday tool though (although from my perspective the 750 is the better bike).

Cheers Mark.

Fair comment. Thats just what i was after, not sure about the year as not important tbh

thanks for the thoughs

I like all 3, although would be looking at the kwak and the suzi myself.
Test rides to be the decider.

Agree with tazdaz though, experience'll make you faster. Learnt that the other day after over taking an r1 feeling proud of myself then struggling to get past a 33bhp sv and a cb500!

Its not for the speed honest. In the end sure, yes i agree, its something i can keep and use for many years, while playing with the sv on and of the track learning

Dave you have got to watch those cb500's especially when they are a bit tatty. I could hear you coming though and then you flew past.

Those CB500s are bloody quick...you've got to get them on the brakes!

To give my personal opinion, I'd probably do what Rictus mentioned and get the 750. I've not riden one myself, but near enough everyone/every review harpers on about the extra grunt you get in the mid-range is a really good improvement.

If I were you, I'd just go and test ride a few if you can find any second hand ones at dealerships.

I'm quite glad you could hear it coming, people always say that loud can's are useless for being heard by other motorists, I thought otherwise - point proven.
I've just googled it they're only 4hp less powerful that the sv, thought they'd be a bit less than that - dunno why!well pilotted though.
