managed to grab 15 mins after lunch, oak would have taken to long so I did it out of a bit of pine which isn't ideal as it splits. Had a little play about with the chisels i had

here is what it looked like before on of my fellow work chum helpfully wrote the words sh!t all over it repeatedly

That`s a pretty good effort there , I am not looking at the finish though as I can see dents on the Square edges of the Pine (were they there before you started ?) . Like your Radii , they look good and smooth , I also like they way you have not copied the pattern in reverse form from the top part to the bottom , it would look too B and Q if you did that . I would be happy for you to knock stuff like that up for me for a Stairway or something .

On a side note , if that was treated for exposure to the outside , you have a nice design there that would encourage Water not to gather and to run off .

I`m no expert in the terminology for Wood but I would imagine they are called "Profiles" or something similar .

possibly, doing shapes on a spindle or with a router is called a moulding, like on skirting ect

Well , when you say moulding that conjures up images of stuff being fashioned by hand or placed into a "Mould" so that terminology for Routers etc is new to me , I work in Metals and it is a younger and modern terminology compared to the likes of Wood which has been around since the dawn of time .

Wish I had space for one, even though it would be hobby/therapeutic use it would be nice. We have an Axminster shop in High Wycombe now (which I try not to go to very often as they keep telling me off for drooling in the showroom) which has a great selection for us hobbyists up to pros. I've only got a bit of the garage though and I'd rather get a band saw as it'd get more use.
