Mr VT and I seem to be on an eerily similar (if not exactly the same) wavelength.

It ranges from liking the same music, food, outdoor pursuits, animals, cars, bikes, decorating the house, etc to general things like thinking the same thing at the same time (which happens at least twice a day).

We are so alike in our ways and thinking that its difficult to plan suprises etc.

Last month I rumbled his plan to take me to Paris for our anniversary, now Ive found out that he was planning to take me on my birthday next year, only problem is:

Ive already booked a trip to Paris for HIS birthday (which is the month after mine) and Ive had to confess that I beat him to it.

But my question is:
I was wondering if this was a common thing or if we were just lucky. How many .orgers have experienced this with their partner?

Its a very common thing. Me and the winged one think alike so much we finish off each others sentences, or if we're out on the road in the car notice something and just as the other one starts to say something, the other is saying the same thing. We love the same music, are just as random as each other, and dance the same tune constantly. We're even OCD in the same way. We're still very much early stages but I reckon on given time, we'd be doing the same thing with birthday surprises.

On a funny note, we're both as blind as bats, and he didn't even notice me shoving stuff in the shopping trolley yesterday...good job, cause there were some nice surprises in there for him.!!

Me and maria have some similarites...we're both kind of shy of large social events, we don;t like clubs, we like the same sorts of comedy shows and that kind of thing. We do often think the same things about stuff, and we both want to go to some of the same places (canada is one place we agree on ) and we want to avoid some places too (deep south america!)

I think that the person you settle down with is the person who you share the closest opinons about things with, the same ideas on how things should be Me and maria dont like all the same things (she dosnt like Have I Got News For You, i dont like some of the reality police chase shows, she dosnt like car racing, that sorta thing) but if you had a ven diagram of us, we'd overlap looooaaadddsss

oh, and VT - me and maria were first friends aswell, and planned to remain as such since I lived in brighton and she lived in london and we were both scared of the travelling. But you can't stop something like love (awwww) so we just let ourselves fall for each other she's the only girl who'd have me really, I don;t think anyone else could put up with me. I guess her advantage is she can switch off her hearing aids and ignore me when I get irritating

Yeah, me and Mr BC think alike....

I think he's a **** and he thinks I'm a ****

Seriously though, sometimes I know exactly what he's thinking or about to do, the man is like an open book to me at times, at others he's worse than a woman!

He seems to know me pretty damn well, in fact probably better than I know myself.

Apart from the love of Kawasaki's, we're not really that similar, he's very laid back, easy going and it takes a lot to get him wound up.
Me? The complete opposite, I can get pretty stressed out (most of the time because I think he's not stressing enough ) I'm easy going to a point but am also very very stubborn and I have a very Celtic temper.....When I blow, by 'eck do I blow! (And not in a good way!)

I'm also a bit of a workaholic (ask VT, she'll tell you ) whereas Mr BC is content to just let work come to him in it's own time.....

Carol and I think very differently and she is able to surprise me quite easily. I am also able to do the same to her, but then I am quite cunning and devious by nature anyway (typical Scorpio I fear). There have been times when we think the same thing at exactly the same time and for about 80% of the time we are very similar in what we enjoy in life.

However, when we do differ, we differ wildly. I think that this does present the occasional problem to be honest, but we over come it through talking, sharing our love for each other and compromising. Also if I don't want to do something that she does, she threatens to break my legs until I do it.

I love Carol with all of my heart which is why we got engaged in October, but I still need my time when I disappear into my world and go climbing, mountain biking or walking and need to be on my own. I know that Carol does not always understand this, but she is gracious enough to have a hot bath waiting for me when I get back.

VT, I think that you are both very lucky and have something very special. Send him my love and let him know that we think he is a legend.
Love you Honey.

Am I the only one that thinks this would be a bad thing?

Yeah me an Abi bicker over silly misunderstandings, which it would be nice to avoid sometimes but the rest of the time its the nice little suprises which make everything interesting.

I'd hate to suprise her and her expression be "well I kinda figured it out/oh look I've got you one as well"
We're partners not clones, I dont want to date myself I want to learn about someone new. Fair enough if we'd been together for 20yrs I might know when the hamsters wheel is turning in her head but other than that I dont really want to be able to predict her ever movement, no way. It sounds like hell tbh.
