i think if we had some of them stored away for the times we do get snow people would be in uproar with the amount the councils would pay for the upkeep and maintenance per year

the problem is that we have tiny bits of snow/rain/sun/fog and other stuf that we never get used to it we dont have enough snow to enforce snow tires in winter wen we do get proper sun its usualy very hot and unexpected then when people start geting used to the heat it bloody rains .... so we go round and round in a loop all the time

where as some where like greece they have a hot summer for about 6months with rain ether side and they have snow throght the winter and the starts over again, we just dont get that patern in the uk its as and when

as long as we keep to our 'almost half', you northerners can spread yourselves out thinly over your 'more than half'.

I'm always foxed by the reaction to snow in the UK - a couple of flakes of snow and the headlines are about 'Frozen Britiain' shutting down. I'm used to Montreal winters (in the minus thirties) where everything still works, we wrap up extra warm and go about our business as usual.
