GSX1400K2 New. 8years in April. 54,000+miles and mint.

Previous:

R reg VTR1000 Used (9000+miles). 3yrs. 36,000+miles

G reg BROS650mkII Used. Ran for 4yrs, kept for a few more dead. 50,000+miles

92 Diversion New. 3yrs, 50,000+miles

H reg KDX125SR. Used (Demo miles).1year+ 12,000+miles

Chop and change every other hour what I'll get "next." But ultimately I share a similar view to you of your Sprint, DT.

Was saving to throw a grand at shocks for the GSX and that would mean I would constrain myself to another in a year or so and put 1k into the engine (hot cams)..........but got itchy feat and blew the savings on a ferry and trip to Spain. Ah weel.

Bought my SV new in Jan 2004, so it's now 6 years old. Not owned or ridden much else since, apart from the odd cruise on my gf's er... cruiser.

About 28000 miles on it now. The last few services have been done by me, and it hasn't fallen apart or anything!

Had 2 bikes in my first year of riding (on the road that is), that I only kept for a few months. Had the SV for just over a year, and I've had my ZZR for just over 2 years - so about 20K on that. my ZX7 I've had for just over a year but only put about 2K on it as most of that time I was rebuilding it. The Dullville I've had for 7-8 months but I only started riding it in November so another 3k on that. I think I tend to change my "fun" bike more often than "work horse" bikes, and the ZZR I'm intending to keep as a tourer as I've spent a lot of time gettin it how I want it.

SV650 4 years
SV1000 5 years
Sprint ST1050 1 year so far

Reckon I'll keep the Sprint at least another 3/4 years until I get bored with it and fancy something else.
