Always buy on fit.
If its any help. the roof is the most comfortable helmet I've tried but couldn't get one locally so I ended up buying a Shark S800 which was also a very good fit and the same shape internally. I'm quite pleased with the shark and it only cost me £130. I ried at least 50 different helmets on when I was shopping and these two wee the best by far. Might be worth sticking one on your bonce to see if it suits you. C |

I use a Caberg Justissimo as I have to show my face and pass to get into our car park and it's much more convenient to swing the front up than take the lid off.
They are a little more noisy than closed designs, but comfortable once on - the one thing I find is that if you leave the ventilation strip closed on the top it creates a really annoying whistling sound, leave it open all the time and it doesn't happen |

Ive got the AGV stealth in the gloss black.
I've had it for about a year now and is still like new. The finish on them is really hard. Mind you, I do keep it in its bag when I'm not wearing it so that does stop it from looking shabby too quickly. |

Go to the MCN show next week if you can. Then you try on as many helmets as you like from all the major makers.
Usually you can pick up a bargain. If not there's the Ally Pally show at the end of Feb

I have 2 Suomy Vandals (Superbike) in solid colours. I paid £60/£80 for them brand new in the box at the BMF shows (bought one in the spring and another in the fall) last year. Loads of nice helmets there for cheap if you can hang tight for a few months.
I also bought a really nice KBC MX lid new for £20 there.

cheers guy's
im off to bikers world today to try some on, shame i dont have £500 for the arai rx7 monster helmet ![]() the problem is i need the helmet quite sharpish as theres a few anoying problems with the ones i have at hand, EG the AGV has the outer coating comming off the screen and makes it hard to see (used for the GF as a pillion) then i have a sumoy R series but that has an anoying air leak on the one side (cold air chanels strait in to my ear) i have to say the roof boxer V i had was very comfy, shame about the quality. Im trying to get away from a flip front due to the expense of them plus the roof was the only one that you can ride legaly as a open face with the front fliped up i like the look of the AGV stealth but for £50 more i can get the GP tech thats why im stearing clear at the moment i could look into getting a new visor for the sumoy and see if thats causing the air problem, but then i would look like a right wierdo on a suzuki with the R1 and yzf thats painted on it ![]() |

Look on ebay... there's plenty of bargains to be had if you can hold out for the one you want. I got myself an Arai Chaser "Spike" in blue for £220, brand new in the box. It's the most comfortable helmet I've tried on, and it looks pretty sweet too IMHO...

Get one with a biult in sun visor, I wish I had done, it's such a pain having to chenge visors when it's sunny only for the clouds to come over 10 minutes later.
