Ahh, probably not if the threads are wrong. It's difficult to tell without scale, but you can see where I was going with it
 Only other thing I can think of is it being a screw for the choke plungers, but as mentioned above, it looks FAR too clean for that

yer the plunger screws don't have a cut through for a flat end screw driver and are black, well they should be before they turn rust colours lol. I tell you what this set of spare carbs mustn't have seen a bike for years as the plungers are in top order on it lol. Carb day tomorrow to try and sort out my running issues - I think you are on the same mission tomorrow are you Chris?
