All the way to Leeds, and all the way back, and that's even before participating in the event!

Had a thread ( Rbl 1000 ) last year which generated quite a bit of interest but no takers.
The routes included : ... The outline would be to start and finish at Squires. There will be a northern route up the A1 to Berwick-upon-Tweed, Edinburgh, Wick, Fort William and back along the M6/M62, just over 1000 miles; and a southern one to Dover, then to Southampton and Redruth and then back, also just over 1000 miles. It's probably similar this year. But is it worth an Iron Butt badge?

Piece of cake. Either with a Corbin seat or a OEM hard lump gel seat.
Although I won't be doing that sort of mileage at all this year. ![]()

Doing it on continental roads is easy due to the decreased volume of traffic on the motorways. This country is a bit harder with the traffic volumes, road works and speed cameras. I used to do Brussels to Paisley round trip twice a week non stop for IBM as an express courier service and the only real rest was on the ferry.
On a bike I can do Essex to Scotland in six and a half hours[Motorway munching] 452 miles, just a matter of trying to maintain a high cruising speed without being silly. |
