Call the company and say you'd like to query the colour options of the lock as what you were sent doesnt look like what was ordered.
Let them do the talking and ask "so its ok for me to keep what you sent?" then take a note of the person's name, dept extension whatever in case it all goes boobies up.

keep it an keep quiet but dont use, if after 14 days you hear nothing then enjoy your new toy.
If they contact you about it then return it and await the lock but its thier mistake, and up to them to correct it IMO. After all you've signed for a lock so on their records they'll struggle proving otherwise. |

I have had the exact same thing before. Ordered 4 of something and received 8 of some thing... Reasonably high value too.
I kept stum, 6 month later when doing stock take they got back to me but I had only signed for 4. Dishonest and immoral I guess... But hey ho |

I had the same thing..
Few years ago bought the wife a food processor for xmas, i know, im a charmer, she did ask for it though. Anyway, ordered one from argos for about £50, 2 identical ones came in one larger box. Turns out, they are delivered to argos in 2's which are supposed to be split then but somebody just picked the box before and sent it. Sold the other one ![]() |
