Was considering that actually, but I'm not sure my old pointy was much more economical than the CBR, but I did drive it less aggressively! Would have that back in a second - Tallguy!

Are they economical? Dullville, I am a real shorty so might be an issue.

I prefer the ride of the CBR, as I am short and the CBR is shorter than the SV. Don't know much about any of those other bikes, but might be worth a look.

400 would cripple you doing that on a daily basis. VFR750 has a large tank and can[1] do 200ish to a tank.

FWIW I use mine for a 54 mile/day commute varying between ~8 miles of 30/40 and 46 miles of A-road dual carriageway/motorway on the bad days and ~8 miles of 30/40, 10 miles of motorway and 11 miles of back roads on the nice days.

[1] Mine will also manage as low as 110! That was a *very* good day though.

Remind me of the tank size

CBF600 is 19 litres and you should see 190 to a tank

If you ride like a girl maybe, this is similar to the kind of people who manage 250miles out of 'my' VFR when I manage 130-150 (I have managed over 200 so it's not a problem with the bike, just the rider).

True and the cbf6 has a detuned 600rr lump so you may push more.

Kev also you got to ride one for your current commute so you know what its like, but ofcourse try and get some more test rides on other bikes

Yeah, the CBF is actually OK to ride, but it is equally as juicy and CBR is nicer to drive.

Perhaps I just need some more self-restraint! Or a PCIII fitted.

Does look like it will cost more in the long run especiallya s you want to keep the RR.
