Shark RSR2 Carbon, I used to have a Nolan Flip front. Cant fault the Shark, SHARP 5-star safety rating, and one of MCN's tops for silence and comfort. Wide visibility, seconds to change visor, and with a neck tube I never had wind problems

Thanks,
Unfortunately not sure if I know anyone with that lid (Cumfy?) and not sure if any local dealers sell them. Not bothered by noise that much, as I stick to earplugs. |

Yeah, I find it pretty comfortable, I do get jaw-ache after a few hours solid though. I don't know many helmets to compare it too though.
RRP is £450+, I found mine on t'internet for £350. (P.S. I like Aberdeen! I might be going to read medicine there in a few years, so maybe I'll see you on the roads!) |

Had a quick run in Cumfy's Shark S800. It's a tiny bit draughty across the face, but other than that... most fun I had on the bike for a while!
Had a wee run yesterday in my r1, whilst an extra bit of duckt tape solved the draught problem, neck was aching again. Next for test is the chaser and the c3. |

I use a Shoei from a few years ago.
The advantage with a one of those is that they do different shell sizes, so don't just use more padding to fill a bucket like shell. Definate advantage if you have a physically small head, which Lissa and I both have. The quality and finish is second to none, and I reckon I must've covered well over 100k miles with it. Nothing has fallen off or broken and it still fits well IMO. Quiet too. Neither Lissa or I wear earplugs. However that is more than likely just down to the shape of your head etc. Last edited by petevtwin650; 29-03-10 at 08:10 AM. |

I have noticed a drop in air noise as well, but tbh i think my old lid was a size too big so that didnt help. I use earplugs lost of the time anyway, but it is defo quieter. Phil |

A mate of mine has the S800, and I have the RSR2, tbh the shape and fit is very similar, but i think the RSR2 is a bit more snug and a bit quieter and a bit less draughty. Plus its higher rated in all areas.
