Default Re: All this rear shock shananagans,

You take the top caps off and let the forks bottom out (no spring force there aye), that tells you how much clearance you got, then you can raise the forks as high, measure it, this is max you can use.

Stock geometry, IMO, sucks balls. It turns too slow and squats too much IMO. But if you want to lower it you're already going in the wrong (IMO) direction. You won't get back to stock geometry because swingarm angle is a factor. So you've got to compromise and give it a try a different way.

Yes I think it's worth £60 for better damping, but I spend £600 or so on my suspension not long since... so probably best not to listen to me too much.

Lol ok well I'll make the change then, Im looking at having that bike for the long haul so I might as well make it personalised. The way I'm currently stretching around the tank and been on tippy toes though is most uncomfortable compeared to the position of dominance I have over the curvy.

IMO cos I can "dik" around on the curvy playing slalom with Manhole covers etc then I am comfortable and in control of that bike. With the pointy it kind of gives me the feel of been a kid when I used to sit on my dads KMX. My feet would barely touched the floor and my arms needed to be in a elbows locked straight position just to reach the bars which meant if I turned them I'd be stretching one side.

Hi everyone,

This is a bit of a silly question I know, but I have just replaced my rear shock, on my K3, with a GSX-R K4 one.
I have never had the luxury of comp and rebound damping before! So, can anyone tell me which is which on the GSX-R K4 shock?
I'm guessing rebound is on the bottom of the shock?

Thanks

Yes rebound is on the bottom, comp is on the top.

Yeah the comp adjuster is the one in between the reservoir and main body.
