I went with MCE when I got the daytona as they were by far the cheapest.
my covernote and paperwork were emailed over to me while I was on the phone to them to check over and everything was fine.
When I added the KTM to the policy again it was cheaper than I thought and the details were sent straight through and again everything was fine.

I'd rather use MCE than Bennetts anyday.

Just renewed with MCE again this year.

330.89 fc (1 year NCB) with legal protection (and the important breakdown cover) for cover on both the d6 and the 520

Double check your break down cover when you get the policy documents. Dans policy had full UK breakdown, we used it no problems first time. Second time it had miraculously changed itself to local breakdown only.

Not just Dan....happened to a member of this very forum last week.....got the policy with full uk breakdown....broke down, called for recovery only to be told they wouldn't do it due to it being local only...NOT what the policy said!

Glad you got a good quote though.

You paid the cheapest price (presumably?) and got a crap service.

You buy the cheapest car, its normally turn out to be a crapper.

Same logic here, Carol Nash is never the cheapest but by far the best service I have ever had.

Nope, when Stretchie bought his it wasn't the cheapest. We both go by a rule much the same as yours...you get what you pay for. He got a good quote with everything he needed, policy came....completely different to what he agreed on the phone as per his posts.

I know of many people on other forums that have had the exact same problems...as well as disgruntles ex MCE customers on here too!

Didn't have a problem with them last year (even when I wanted to swap and add bikes) so gave them another chance this year.

I could pay twice the amount for "great" cover and not use it, so wheres the sense in that?

Honestly if this is happening a letter should be written to the FSA, you have been mis-sold a policy and this is against the law and MCE can be investigated and fined over this!

First thing is a letter with a big heading COMPLAINT, you need to clearly state that the letter you are writing to MCE is a letter of complaint to trigger of their compliance procedures, they should come back to you within 2 working days of receiving such a letter, if not contact the FSA.

I was with MCE, but never needed to use them.

However, on reading the small print I was disturbed to find that breakdown insurance was literally that. No recovery following an off. I did not renew as they were far too expensive and even using the org inside line it could not be brought down to a competitive rate.

I have only heard bad about them. Never good.
