Be very careful with it. If it's not restricted then you won't have any insurance cover and your licence isn't valid for that power of bike. Mind you, you could just claim ignarence if you get tugged and just say it's what they give you and you didn't know it wasn't restricted.

Double bubble, £37. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Suzuki-SV650-S...item1c0ff23b8c
Clutch leaver, £7. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CLUTCH-LEVER-F...item3c9b0d5b99
Clip on, ~£5. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/suzuki-SV650-S...item3cab4d46b4
Fairing bracket, £0. It will tweak back.
Indicator, buy a cheap one off ebay then buy a white lens.
Mirror, £40. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Suzuki-SV1000-...item45f078ba79
Gear leaver, ~£20 from ebay somewhere.

I reckon you could get your bike fixed up for less then £150 with the power of ebay. The fairing can be sprayed by someone that knows what their doing. That was just a very very quick scan of ebay.

Should always take pics before you even move the bike. If you have the facility that is. Helps to prove your innocence and also to remember the details too. Not such a problem as he's admitted liability

Ignorance is no excuse. It's up to you to make sure the bike you ride is legal for you.

Sorry to hear about your bike but...

1 - 2 months, they are having a laugh......go and get quotes from a few local garages including estimated completion time, take copies and send them into the insurers with a letter stating that 2 months is totally unacceptable unless they are also willing to suspend 2 months insurance payments and cover your loss of road tax. Two months road tax on a bike is not much I know.....but you've paid it and it is off the road for a reason beyond your control. Don't just settle for what they tell you......keep at them and they will sort it out for you if you stay polite, but firm.

2 - Take the Bandit back and tell them about your restriction. Someone at the training centre last week was there because he had his license revoked after being in an identical situation. As the rider, it was him who was responsible for ensuring he was riding a bike legally and no responsibility laid with the leasing company that gave him the courtesy bike.

Better safe than sorry and really fight with the insurers....2 months is a joke!
