Ouch, hope the bike is not too bad. I have spare bits if needed: indicators, gear lever, etc.

Could have been worse, but shouldn't have happened at all if the flipping thing had been marked or illuminated.

Need to check out the front of your bike carefully as, almost certainly, something will be broken or twisted.

Tough luck mate, good luck fixing the bike. Depending on how it's broken you might be mobile quicker than you thought. I bust my collar bone three weeks ago yet still managed a ride to Wales and back last weekend, but I was lucky and it was just the end where it locates into the shoulder blade that got split, they didn't need to operate or anything.
Normally after seeing you in A&E they will give you an appointment at a fracture clinic about a week later and by then the consultant should have had a chance to check out the xray and give you a more accurate estimation of mending time..
Sleeping is the hardest part, it's so hard not to roll onto the injured side. Oh and depending on which side it was you might have to learn to use the other hand, reaching behind you can be painful.....

That makes 2 of us out for 6-8 weeks. Shall we set up a one-armed SV Scrabble league? Get well soon.

Glad to hear you're alive mate - that's the main thing

From a highways design perspective I can't believe a kerbed traffic island can be legal without some retro-reflective signage, was it broken or simply absent? Or did you not have time to look while flying past?

I'd be onto your local highways dept complaining

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo......but at least your semi ok.

Absolutely gutted for you and for your lovely black pointy. Hope the damage isn't too bad.

If there is anything me or Lily can do then just shout. Also, I am probably up in Mancland next week for three days of work, so may come and say howdy if time allows it in the evening.
