Ride. Currently including extra guides and things as separate jobbies. Had one or two on getting in to biking and learner stuff, most recent was suspension stuff, which I'm trying to get a better understanding of at the mo. The triangle rating thingy system always seems pretty reliable and on the whole, a good source for ideas of things to try.

Another vote for Ride.
I have been a subscriber for several years and find the reviews reasonabley good and not too track focused. The kit reviews and the ride triangle are good and I have used them when buying.
As for riding tips etc they seem to be pretty much the same in all the mags, which is just as well if you think about it!

I'd have to agree with the others I always find Ride magazine the best for that kinda stuff.

For contemporary stuff, I buy the ocassional issue of Ride. It seems to relate well to the real world riding I do, not pander to wannabee racers. However, as I got into bikes through the 80s and early 90s, I often relate to articles in Classic Motorcycle Mechanics, and the general principles apply across the board.

+1, although bear in mind that sometimes there are top quality products available that don't make it into the test reviews (e.g. many on here think Almax would have cleaned up in chains/locks). Ideally use multiple sources to help with your decision making. When in doubt, forums are usually an excellent check.

I subscribe to Ride. Sometimes pick up a copy of Bike or Superbike.

+1 for Ride. I think their kit tests are very good, and pretty unbiased, they don't just rage about the expensive gear.
