I dont think its a gremlin, i suspect its the air mods, i assume you didnt have the running issues before the mods did you?

Not 100% sure. To be sure I am going to put to it totally back to standard.

I took to alarm out of the ignition last night so I can rule that out.

Next I am going to take the pipercross out and put the standard exhaust on, take the sv snorkel off, and take the GIpro gear indicator off. That will leave the bike standard apart from the shock and springs and I can safely rule them out lol.

I know it's nothing to do with the bar convesion because it was doing it before.

If you have not adjusted the fuelling after adding a higher flowing air filter and pipe then the chances are it'll be running lean. and thats a good candidate for the problem you are suffering. If it weren't injected a quick turn of the air adjuster screw for the bottom end would fix it but there's no chance of doing that to yours (who says FI is porogress? )

Putting it back to standard will re-richen the mixture and should solve the problem. If it does, then the way forward is a PC and a remap.

Hopefully they will say "cool where did you get that from, i want to buy them for all our bikes!" My local Suzuki dealer buys kits off us and has no issues with warranty etc.

As in my PM to Dan...fueling mainly if you have done those mods. Id also remove the TRE and stick it on ebay or in the bin!. They cause more running probs to be honest than they cure. Ive seen a fair number of very late model bikes suffer from poor idle with the TRE fitted due to the ISC system etc now fitted to the later bikes. It just isnt that compatable as the bike requires correct data from all the sensors, gear position, air pressure, tps etc etc to enable the ISC to work correctly.

I think Sarah has probably answered it but yep, it'll be running lean beacuse of the can and filter. God knows what the SV1000 snorkel is supposed to do? I would have thought the Pipercross filter came with anything it really needs.

A end can shouldnt affect it so i wouldnt bother with changing the can back, i would bet on the performance filter as i have said before, just change 1 thing back at a time so you know what caused it, i would do the filter first imo.

Most of my weird stuff has been down to throttle/carb balancing. If you've got access to some gauges or someone with some worth looking into. Does it sound like it's galloping on tick-over rather than an even thump thump thump thump?

Also, if you've been messing on the induction side make sure the body rubbers are seated correctly under the air-box. Causes all sorts of low rev nastiness not to mention sucking un-filtered air straight into the engine. Another symptom of this is that revs only drop slowly when throttle slammed shut.

Well the SAGA Continues. I have removed the airbox and SV1000 snorkel and put all that back to standard. The alarm has been removed from the ignition. And the bike is still cutting out.

Tonight I have disconnected the the GI PRO gear indicator, with TRE and tomorrow I will try the bike again.

Failing that I have the following to remove:

The Scotoiler connected via the vaccum on the TB's
The Remus Can.

Then the bike will be back to standard apart from the comfort bar conversion and Suzuki can bloody sort it out.

Success at last.

Its was the GI PRO gear indicator and advanced TRE. The bike is running like a dream without it on.

Looks like Sarah was 100% correct. This just isn't compatable with my 2010 pointy.

This is all a bit of a PITA really because I was enjoying having the gear indicator on the bike. I even seems to mess stuff up with the TRE disabled and just the gear inicator on.
