Stonsie thats really good of you, thanks mate, parcel arrived today, but gota pick it up from sorting office tomorrow,

I quite enjoy little challenges with project ideas, hence taking a gamble and buying a euro spec light to play with.

mister c your bike does look very but I still have the standard fairing so seemed the ideal cheap way to upgrade for me.

I ran 6000 hids in my car, they were blue/white, maybe the next upgrade once I get the headlight all sorted.

Will update on the project once I get the lights mocked up.

next stage well underway, ive made up a new bracket to mount the uk spec projector light into, this then fits onto the standard headlight aim screws, will drill these holes tomorrow at work.

all going well should be able to put the headlight back together this weekend.

Ive now drilled all the mounting holes, and fitted the projector light to the bracket, which is fitted to the headlight rear cover.

Because ive had to make up the bracket, and using a car projector thats bigger then the sv projector, im thinking of test fitting the headlight, minus the lense and making sure it aims correctly, before mastiking the lense on. (the lense in front of the projector is clear, so shouldnt make any real difference without it, just want to make sure it aims ok)

Piccies to follow soon.

car projector unit now fitted into the headlight mounting bracket. The headlight is shown as it fits into the rear casing. Adjuster screw pastic nuts also fitted, headlight seems to aim as it should but cant be sure until its fitted in my bike.

Will fit just the rear casing in first to make sure it aims ok, if it does I`ll then glue the lense on.

Ive used cap head screws to fit the projector to the bracket, so if I run out of adjustment, or the projector isnt fitted level It can be spun clockwise or anticlockwise as needed, and used the cap head screws so I can get a ball ended alley key in, its a little tight past the headlight, as its bigger than the proper sv one.

hey leebex, do you still have to sv projector light kicking about (the one that's in the first two piccys in this thread), I bought a mint headlight off ebay and i've modified the beam pattern of the projector using some shim steel and epoxy resin, there's no chance its coming off

Anyway i completly dissaembled the lamp to do the mods, including the lens itself, wrapped it in tissue paper to keep it safe then as i was putting it back together i dropped the lens and smashed it

Any chance yours is available

cheers

replied to your pm mate still got the original.

Fitted the headlight today and connected it up, woohoo it works as it should, cant tell if its aiming ok as bike on axle stands in the shed though

And the pointy rear light all works too, now to get it all put back together and tidy up the rear end

Had my sv MOT`d last saturday as it was due (although been back on the road since the end of january) and was a little worried the headlight would be mentioned, although it looked like the beam pattern was within the limits, i was only going by a pen line drawn on my fence.

The bike passed all ok, so guess it was fine.

And its definately a big improvement on the standard curvy headlight, even though its 1 less
