Yup, BT023's fitted. Did about 3 miles before I was knocked off! Bike should be back on the road tomorrow night so will be taking a gentle spin round EK to scrub them in tomorrow night so will know more about how they feel tomorrow.

I had a stab at a route. Start point for the Glasgow based posse is McD's in East Kilbride. Then we can meet/stop in Ayr or there abouts to chat/smoke/take a ****.

Please feel free to comment and amend

Route looks good to me.

But can I suggest from kirkcudbright ride to dalbeattie then upto Crocketford then upto Balmaclellan. The road from Crocketford to Balmaclellan is pretty good and a bit of a favourite of mine. Up side of loch ken is scenic but a little boring.

Please have a look at link, what do you think?

I'm happy to leave the route to those more in the know. I'll be happy just tootling along with the crowd

Only thing, that section of the A75 is incredibly boring and there is usually a good chance of traffic cops or scamera vans on it.

True, it's quite picturesque though and fairly easy going for a wee bit.

Only other option is the wee skittery back road between Creetown & Gatehouse, which having ridden it for a reccy a few months back, I can confirm is an appalling strip of road, more akin to a farm track in fact.

That's a very similar route to the one I organised on here a few months back and there are a few great bits of road on it indeed.
