dipped beam on my SV is adequate, not brilliant though, will probably invest in some nightbreakers as the dark months close in.

Dip on my SV is good, better than the car was as standard but not as good as now with HID's.
It has to be an advantage that the S versions have twin headlights  but I think the wiring will be upgraded before I go HID on the bike, reflector type lenses can have beam scatter issues with them.

H4's have 2 filaments (1 dip, 1 main). I didn't know this and now have bought some new bulbs.
