i would, but i don't think it would really cope with what i want to do. I'm wanting to take it to the good tracks in Scotland and see how far I can fly before I do myself in... as seems part and parcel of MX

my cousins kids do MX. They are about 20 I think. Lee had an accident few months ago and broke something in his back. He recovered in a couple of weeks and is back on bike - the joys of being young. They do all the big comps, think they are quite good - if you are in the mx circles their name is Gourlay. You are getting on a bit now son, just watch yourself, you wont heal as quick

Getting on a bit, thanks very much Maw!!!

I'm just sick of watching it, i've been going up to Doune on a saturday and watching!!!

I'm sure I can trust myself to not go TOO Fast and kill myself!!!

I'm hoping not to get arm pump like my older namesake!!!

Doesn't anyone else have wishes, i've got tons but they wouldn't pass the 18 cert

I want mine to stop burning oil without me having to take the cylinder heads off. Not that it's hard or anything, it's just a pain in the nuts. Easier to just keep adding oil

So I guess my wishlist is, valve seals.

Assuming strong long fingers, couldn't the seals be replaced without lifting the heads ?
Or am I being silly ( again )

Never done it before but I'm pretty sure the valve has to come out to do it.

Thought for ya Northy... Compressor and an adapter for the plug hole, pressure keeps the valves closed so you dont need to take the heads off. done it years ago on a golf.. could not be ar$ed taking the head off and cheated
Just gotta make up a suitable lever to push the valve springs down.

(tip.. tap spring plates down with a hammer/socket to release them from the collets just before you lever them, stops it from just pushing the valve down and not releasing from the collets!)

Mmmm interesting. I'd need to have a look to figure out how to actually do it but that sounds like a plan. Cheers for that!

The other option is I've still got a set of Busa pistons and I've already got the gaskets, just never got round to fitting them and wasn't really likely to now but I could always go the whole hog and do that at the same time. Not sure. I'm going to have a bit more time on my hands come the new year so could be an option

In the meantime I'll just keep making clouds
