That was supposed to be his "approach" when haggling a bargain.
"Its an obsolete tyre and its the wrong size, so I'm not going to give you more than a tenner for it" Then he fits it, having got a bargain, and finds its fine! What do you mean? Are they generally a good tyre? A good friend had no use for them when i need a new set of tyres badly.

Generally yes, fine for every day pootling but I wouldn't be using them on a track day any time soon!

Got them fitted and they are fantastic. Very grippy even in moist conditions. Much better than previous metzelers. Managed to get to the edge already, cant wait to see what they are like in perfect conditions. Thanks for advice.
