Not sure what rate standard Sachs uses, I know guys run 500-600 on those bikes.

But this shock is on SV.

If you are getting lots of squat with lighter spring, what length is shock set at? If short that can mean lots of squat as you open it up and running wide.


To calculate spring rate is very simple, units are pounds per inch... force per displacement so just divide force by displacement.

Springs are often non linear at the extreme ends of their compression so you should log a curve every couple of mm, there may be some odd bit in first 5mm that can be ignored. If you plot a curve then just measure gradient of the line.

Shock is set slightly longer than stock.

Try +10mm from stock, 340mm between centers.
