I can't see how you can say that a bike that gets to 100mph in 10 seconds is good for keeping your license!

Is this not pointless, its not designed to reach high top speeds, its a small capacity V-Twin designed for backroads and a-roads. If you want top speed you dont buy an SV650

its all about the torque i seen 146 on the clock, downhill, of course on a private road!

mine felt gutless after 110, its OK up to then but after that its runs out of steam.

in comparrison to bigger bikes its definetly better for the licence. when your doing 100 on the SV you know it. unlike some bikes which will sit at that speed without much effort.

my k4 naked is happy to pull happily to 120 125 depending if its flat or downhill 130 takes a while though and a strong grip.

my fully faired k6 will do indicated 142 at a push, but 120 is easily acheivable, are you fully sure its not ecu restricted??

sprockets may have been altered, but again, you may just have an accurate speedo =]
