look for local suzuki dealerships, i have Crescent Suzuki on my door step, nd although i know they are bigger than any of the others so they are going to have more!! they nearly always have some in, or will be able to source one.

As for the bike, i have ridden the 600 and the 1000 k6's as well, the 750 is really the same bike as the 600 but obveoulsy with more power, the 600 was a cracking bike, my only downside was i found it a little small for me, but i am nearly 6ft 2!the 1000 was a perfect fit but, depending on your biking history a SV650 to a GSXR thou is a MASSIVE jump.

I wouldn't close your eyes to the 600 tho mate, more than fast enough for real world use, i would suggest go to a dealer and test ride them both and see if you think the 600 is enough (ride the 600 first tho, then you will see it for what it is, not just a slower version of the one you just rode!)

Thanks for the advice guys. Am a little shy of going to the dealer, just in case I drop an expensive bike! Will sum up the courage! Will try the CBR and 750/600 gixxers back to back to see the difference...

Any recommendations on dealers near Oxford? I'm currently located in Wantage at the mo...

I'll have a serious look at the 600 going for sale too...

I've seen it ridden often and ridden it once myself. It's a nice bike, lovely sound and well looked after. Hard to keep up with too... Seeing as a midget rides it.

I'm 5 8 so it might suit my height! Always wary of being too short and dropping the thing

600 K7 in TT colours is up for sale. Might be worth checking out.

750 all the way, the k6/7 in black is best looking one they made imo.

if your thinking of a 750 now then your only gonna be thinking what if a few months down the line after owning the 600. (that being said the one on here is nice).

the sv is ok, but 750 is better in almost every area imo, feels like a proper bike.

i have literally just bought another 750, wish it was a k6/7 buts it a Y, still goes well though

The sites i was browsing everyday are:

gixxerjunkies (most of the bikes on there seems to have been well looked after)
pistonheads
ebay
biketrader
local bike dealers
freeads (could be worth a look)

Seeing as you've been looking, what's a good/average price for a black 750 K6 these days...?

the best one i seen was £4500 with about 8000 miles, now that was cheap and sold in 46 minutes, before i had a chance to get it.

obviosuly there are a few factors to take into account the main one being mileage, not a massive difference in price between k6/k7. Go for extras as well, definetly an exhaust. its best not to be in too much of a rush as bargains seem to pop up out of the blue.

i reckon 5k is a good budget. there is one on gixxerjunkies at the moment k6, 5000 miles, £5500. Im sure there would be a little room for movement on that price.

What sort of budget were you thinking?
