It's from Argos. When you order it and it gets delivered, what you'll probably end up with is something completely different- a chip pan, maybe.

halfords key ring ones are the best. i have had one for 5 years and its still accurate. i have never changed the battery in it it gets stood on and thrown all over the place but it still works perfectly.
this one: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165648 but in black. |

(I don't trust the gauges on footpumps at all as the last three or so I've used have been all over the place) Quote:
You could line up 5 expensive gauges with 5 cheap ones and take a pressure with each of them but you still wouldnt know which are the most accurate. My point is that I don't think just because something's reasonably cheap it should be discounted as rubbish and just because something is expensive it doesn't mean it's excellent. |

ok i dont know if its 100% accurate but it seems to tell the same pressure as my brand new one for the compressor and the ones that my local garage use (tyre fitting place). so i would presume that its within reasonable limits. the key ring ones from halfords are self setting if you push them on the valve but not quite fully and let some air rush past till it shows '00' on the readout. i think i got mine at £3.99 and it serves its purpose as far as i'm concerned.

Reserved one, ill get it tomorrow and test it against garages and halfords one, if most are saying one figure and one another a different its pretty easy to narrow down with ones are worse.

Ok checked it, its within one psi of the garage one, and i let a bit of air out trying to get right angle so its prob identical reading. Its huge though!!! 1 psi under read.
