What sort of ignition changes would you be talking. If I went for a newer type loom would that sort it.

Can you be a bit specific? Is this an SV injection engine you want to run in a carb bike?

If it is like that then it is easy, swap the rotor, stator, carb boots and carbs and it will run same as the carb engine did. Same loom as you're supplying the ignition box with the same inputs as you did before.
