I've got her home. I've had her less than 300 miles and already seen under every panel. I like that but no it was a short in the wiring it'd rubbed through on the main seats bar that it loops under. It's quite sharp now I'm home going to check the wiring file that end smoother and such. Thanks for your help oh mighty org

Reg,rec was checked when I picked up the new battery so I knew the chances of it being that after riding for a mile or two were slim. 99% sure that this clear break in the loom was the issue just rode all the way home as if nothing was the matter.

Common fault is chaffing of the loom near the seat screws

Just a note for future reference, it's probably best to try a bump start in second gear, for no other reason than if it fires to life and you give it a fistful of beans you are less likely to end up pulling a poo fuelled wheelie

I wish it was staged. I was broken down an the weather started to turn. On the ride back very light showers and now the sky is properly grey but I've gone over it and Filed the pointly bit of metal it was rubbing on down then cushioned it and cable tied it all back up and now issues. New Battery Acid being done ready for the new battery which means I can put the little black panels back on. I reckon because I've had them off so its just 2 screws to get the seat off and jump her ... I hink I might've aided the bike using my left leg leaning on the loom, just a matter of time though I guess on that one.
