Aye this worked a treat, its taken away the jaggy feel of the stanchions. Even if its enough to get the bike through this year then i can fix them for real during late autumn. Thanks guys.

I can't find the thread, but someone will be able to point you
You can`t Hard Anodise Steel , it is done on Aluminium . It also has to be done , ideally , on freshly machined Aluminium of a certain grade and type as well . You can , however , get stanchions ground down and Hard-chromed

Oh Don`t ....... had one around my gaff today buying my Simpson lid off me , I heard it coming down the road and thought "Hmmm Bandit 1200 owner ? Coming to buy my Simpson RX8 , how much Anodised stuff will he have ?"

He asked me "Whaddaya think ?" nodding towards his bike ........ I replied "yeah , Suzuki , got one meself" and pointed at the SV and then bribed his attention with the offer of a brew ........ I have never seen so much Red Anodising in my life , truly eye-gougingly awful ..... still , managed to wrestle £250 off him
