shortened wheelbase so makes the steering sharper. Swingarms can usually be had for not alot secondhand. Couldnt say 100% whether it would be a worthwhile mod, no different to ensuring your chain is adjusted upto the stop at the front rather than all the way back.

Wouldn't putting a 120/70 front on have a similar effect?

Cheers though. Quote:
The standard 160/60 but they're BT-021's... Any chance that it's the profile of tyre that is causing this? I am worried that it may be the hugger being faulty (warped). Is this possible. I'll post up some pictures soon to show you. I can put a tiny amount of finger pressure on the left side of the hugger an it goes to what looks like the correct position. Could someone with a Puig Hugger please post up some pictures of what theirs looks like. Images focussing on the fixing points would be greatly appreciated. Cheers again. |

Mine did the same but on the chain side. I ended up putting a small length of flat bar behind the bolt and hugger to push it straight (it worked for me) or can you alter the angle of the bracket outwards without damaging it, that might move it away from the wheel.

I think I'll give your flat bar idea a go tomorrow, will need to find one first. Did you secure the bar at either end and drill a second hole in the hugger or use an adhesive or anything like that? Or was the one fixing enough?

Heres some pics of what i did. Just the one hole for fixing. Bar length was just enough to move/push hugger away from wheel and straighten hugger up. Ali bar was cut straight so the swingarm kept it at the right angle and it couldn't swivel in situ, (if that makes sense as im rubbish at explaining stuff as im a hands on guy)

Cheers for help dudes. That idea of yours worked geodude but then I got snagged by the fact that the hugger would of hit my exhaust hanger going over any bumps. I've got a high level on mine at the moment and the hanger goes round the back of the exhaust....I think I'm gonna sell the exhaust and possibly the hugger too. Haven't decided yet...
