True, but there's been a round at Mondello in Ireland more than once.

This is all very disappointing but sadly predictable. The search for more gimiks (see night racing in F1 and MotoGP) always seems to triumph over supporting fans and lower-level series. I thought they wanted to keep costs down for teams - I know, let's make them get on a ferry and go all the way to Holland for 5 days or whatever.

Mallory's no worse than Cadwell for safety or any of those usual accusations levelled at it but, oh yeah, MSV own Cadwell...

The Croft round has been excellent for many years now. Well run - even the local plod put on some top traffic management to get folk in and out quick and safe - I've been escorted in more than once down the outside of queuing cars. Decidedly better than many an experience at Donington (which I actually quite like, though). Nice track to ride, Croft - if you can ignore the bumps.

As ever, if you don't live near Brands (etc.) then there's not much on. Knockhill's the only feasible option for many fans oop north now, and that's sadly at the mercy of the weather. Even Oulton's a bit of a trek.

Berlin's right, the British series should support bike racing right across GB. The Mondello round was an attempt to give the Northern Ireland fans something (yeah, I know it's not in NI) but it didn't quite work out. We need the tracks to get used, including high profile meetings, to make them more important than the annoyance to the locals many of them are being treated as.

there'd be 5 Melville members out from behind the tyres to rip useful bits off it before Mr. Kiyonari or whoever even knew which way he was pointing. At least he could nip over to the massive car boot sale/market thing for a look round.

I do apologise to anyone that doesn't know what we're on about!
Anything that falls off a bike in the fields is fair game as its that or the broken combine harvester
