PS: Look at the HJC FS-11 and IS-16 if your specifically after a helmet with an internal sun visor.

The inflatable cheek pads of the FS-11 are a bit of a gimmick IMO and the helmet fits my fat face without inflating them, but they would cut down on noise.

I've had an IS-16 for two years and it's been a very good helmet. Only complaint is the vents do nothing, but is any helmet in that price range any different?

+1

I found X-lite, Nolan & Shoei the quietest helmet, Arai by far the loudest but to me most comfortable.

Sound can be delt with by ear plugs, I'd think more on comfort & weight.

HJC FS-11 - I tried this on yesterday was a very comfortable fit, if a internal sun visor is a must I'd say a Shark Vision R, the sun visor on that is brilliant, & alot more ridged that previous HJC & Shark designs. only problem is the price of the Vision, if you where previously looking at £50.

Well i took the helmet back yesterday and they had a bronze helmet technician in the shop ( whatever that is ) he said that AGV have done away with the side vent design and seeing as the helmet was in mint condition i could change it...

So got myself a Shark S900, i wore it on the ride home and i have to say it felt 20 times the quality of the agv...!! i am really impressed with the fit, the noise levels, vision and the built in anti fog and sun visor are great...

Ear plugs are still worth the effort to avoid permanent hearing loss.

The HJC IS16 is a fair bit louder than my older HJC CL ST ,But has thre funky intergrated visor,
That's very handy with the low sun were having.

I got the HJC IS16 for the internal visor. Always had Shark lids, that are noisy, but this thing takes the pi$s! I've got custom earplugs and they're useless, its that bad.

However that internal visor is so much better than swapping prescription sunglasses for normal specs, or reaction lenses, or indeed the old sunvisor I had on the Shark lid previously.

My HJC FS-10 is the noisiest helmet in the world. Wind in my eyes with visor shut. It's a nightmare. Shame I have two spare pin lock ready visors to get through before I can replace it....

Ear plugs are great however
