Popped into the local triumph dealer (destination triumph in fareham) just for a 'look',
got talking to one of the salesmen-usual banter about speed/street triples, asked if i would like a test ride on the street- so of course i said "oh yes!" He then told me they didn't have a speed triple demo available BUT we DO have the new speed triple R !! So saturday morning is going to be interesting to say the least, 2 test rides- i can't wait! |

Let us all know what you think of the two Triumphs. I'm interested in what the Speed R is like.
If you're tall enough have a go on the KTM too I'm too stumpy for them but I fancied it when I got the Street.

Of those listed, I'd like the Speed. None of 'em are great for pillions though!

I test rode the street r and the speed, found the street much easier to turn in, and manoeuvre generally, as it's much lighter.you really need to muscle the speed about a bit, but maybe that's just weight as its much heavier. The brakes on the speed were also very very sharp. I bought the street r.

Mrs Chucca loves sitting on the back of the Street R, a set of pillion handles and away we go. She had the final input on buying the bike and after about 3 miles she told me 'you must buy this bike its beautiful sitting pillion'.

Each to their own, first time I've heard it though.
