What he said... I suspect you won't have a wife for long if you inflict those pillion seats on her

Popped into the local triumph dealer (destination triumph in fareham) just for a 'look',
got talking to one of the salesmen-usual banter about speed/street triples, asked if i would like a test ride on the street- so of course i said "oh yes!" He then told me they didn't have a speed triple demo available BUT we DO have the new speed triple R !!
So saturday morning is going to be interesting to say the least, 2 test rides- i can't wait!

Let us all know what you think of the two Triumphs. I'm interested in what the Speed R is like.

If you're tall enough have a go on the KTM too I'm too stumpy for them but I fancied it when I got the Street.

Of those listed, I'd like the Speed. None of 'em are great for pillions though!

I test rode the street r and the speed, found the street much easier to turn in, and manoeuvre generally, as it's much lighter.you really need to muscle the speed about a bit, but maybe that's just weight as its much heavier. The brakes on the speed were also very very sharp. I bought the street r.

It looks like i will be getting a bit more compensation than first thought due to loss of smell/taste and p.t.s.d. (weird how this kicked in 6 months after the event just about to start seeing a councillor)
Had already decided to spend it on the house, but now there may be enough left over for a new bike so.............
choices so far are, street triple r (in white) or a speed triple (in white) or a honda cb1000r (in extreme colours)
now it will be used for the daily commute, week-end plaything and occasional blat with the wife on the back.
Any thought's or suggestion's mucho appreciated

You missed out on the GSR750. Close thing between that and the Triumph's

Mrs Chucca loves sitting on the back of the Street R, a set of pillion handles and away we go. She had the final input on buying the bike and after about 3 miles she told me 'you must buy this bike its beautiful sitting pillion'.

Each to their own, first time I've heard it though.
