It won't affect us, or make any difference to over 21s. It's only going to make a difference to younger riders such as myself, but those who do not already have a licence

Yes it will. A 22 year old who has not held an A2 license for 2 years, is new to biking, would have to sit the A2 test, gain 2 years experience before they can sit a full test.

Under the current rules, anyone 21 or older can sit the full test, regardless of experience or if they have held an A2 license.

But I agree, it states these changes will not affect anyone who already has a license.

Bang on IMO.

There is no convincing link between power and accidents. There is, however, evidence to show that motorcycle KSI figures are reduced by graduated licencing schemes, but only by the amount that they reduce participation. i.e. the more difficult it is to get a full licence, the fewer people ride motorcycles and therefore motorcycle casualties are reduced. Bingo! KSI target met.

I think it's quite difficult to oppose this trend because it appears, on the face of it, to make sense. It seems common sense that inexperienced riders are safer on less powerful machines, but it isn't actually the case.

It doesn't directly affect those of us with a licence, but if it reduces participation, then it hurts the industry. Firms go out of business, less competition, less product development, higher prices etc.

Bunch of worthless c*nts trying to make it cost ten million quid to get a licence. I hope they catch uncurable clap and their cobblers roll down their trouser legs.
