Just keep up with the oil changes and don't let it run low.

Mine's at 40k but suspected having blown a ring or summat at the mo.... awaiting report from bike shop

Mine's at 45000, sounds as good now as it did when I got it a couple of years back at 19500. Uses no more oil now than it did then either, which is very little!

You have to look after your oil on SV engines make sure its topped up and changed regulary, do that and they last.
