the engine isnt going to be started it would take hours to get it back together anyways.

Also got the head and barrel out as one yest and found 1 last bolt that was in a recess, needless to say the recess was hidden by a large amount of solid mud and grit and took about 10 mins of chipping away to get it all out.
Soaking in plug gas but the bugger still wont move and i dont really want to take the stud out so will see what i can do but it should come apart nicely after that.
Thanks all for the help even is it is my own incompetence

it could also be stuck on dowels between the two faces. patience will get it apart.

mmm heat and soaking should see it right but the bolt is made of rust and i can just feel it starting to go....not sure of the best option....it will be getting replace as most of these small crappy bolts but break it? keep at it? just take the stud out ( if it will even move)... not sure of the best path to go down.

you tried pushing apart hydraulically? Building on the "run it until it pops open" approach, you could rig up something that builds hydraulic pressure in the cylinder. perhaps through the spark plug hole?

i gave in and gave it to someone with the proper tools and vices that i dont have in my garage. owell.
Either way the bore look alrighttttt bit of scoring and the odd nasty patch but check my build thread for some pics going up in the next few mins.

ill explain when i get it back either sat or monday, but i just couldnt do it...they had welded themselves to the head and wernt going to budge and were starting to round so i though give in before i really fuK it up!
