Good morning all.


Not being a fan of putting a lot of weight on the engine cases. I use my own version of the Abba stand, & plenty of ratchet straps holding the rear down. One through the wheel, & others on the subframe.
I then use a purpose made scissor jack, & thick rubber blocks under the engine to add a touch of stability, & take a little of the load from the straps.

Obviously it's easy to attach ratchet straps to the lower edge of my bike lifts. However, those who like to indulge in a little more than general maintenance, & have a garage. Ought to think about sinking a couple of folding floor hooks to attach ratchet straps to.
The type used on flat bed HGV's are ideal.
