Can anyone recommend any hotels in Annecy ?

OK, from the OP, I thought you wanted to 9 nights in ETAP / F1 elsewhere, and spend a bit more for one night in Annecy centre ville.

Just gone back and looked at the link Col, cheapest is 100 euros

Bit rich for me that, im a brummie you know

It is in centre of town though so if i cant find anything its a back up, cheers.

Must be the dates you are after. You said seven weeks, so I just looked for the 22nd August, and it came up at 63 quid.

I just seen the thing on bottom corner "from 100 euros", i didnt actually put dates in.

Right, just tried date on their website, £47 excl breakfast, but and its a big but, they dont have parking, its a pay car park (municipal) 5 mins walk away im not trusting the bike there.

Shame cos location is perfect, its right in the middle.

On their website it said 5 mins away for municipal car park, its free from 7pm to 7am i think or something like that if its the same one i looked at earlier.

It worrys me if im not close to it, if it was a car i wouldnt care, but a bike can be stolen extremely quickly.
I know its unlikely but id rather it be in the car park of actual hotel tbh.

Trouble is, most hotels in the centre dont have parking from what i can gather.

It is always worth asking if they have a garage Phil, I've put my bike in the owners private garage a few times in France. They understand the worry of your bike getting stolen. Worth an email.

In terms of looking for hotels, I find Logis de France http://www.logishotels.com/en/ really good. The hotels are privately run and generally very nice, but a little more per night. Had some cracking places to stay though.

We are just winging it on our trip, book a hotel when we want to stop kind of thing, so booking in advance is not really an option. I prefer it that way since having stuff booked puts you on a mission to make your next stop, so those interesting little detours have to be ignored...
