I remember I missed out on FA cup semi final tickets once because the letter telling me I'd been successful in the ballot out of tens of thousands of other people, was 'filed' or 'tidied' into a random drawer in the dining room.
I only found it when setting the table for Christmas dinner (some 9 months later) and it nearly ruined the whole Christmas lol. |

to make you feel like you are going senile / forgetful . Next thing she will start saying things like I mentioned it to you last night and you agreed
![]() Never assume she will know where, why or how things ever get to where they end up..even though she put it there in the first place. Deep down she secretly enjoys the head scratching ,swearing and inner turmoil as you persist in trying to get that round peg into that hole with only that broken hammer as you cant locate any of the useful tools as she had set about tidying them before. ![]() Whilst you marvel at your ingenuity and resourcefulness there will be another trap lurking in another room. Funnily I seem to find most things in the garage..eventually .....as opposed to never at all

In my case there are more than a few black widow spiders down there with you as you drag that cable and there's always that dreadful fear of the possibility of meeting a snake. Last time the wife decided to rearange the living area, spent the entire weekend moving furnature, cables, pictures. By the next weekend she couldn't stand it and we had to move it all back. ![]()

I was working in Sumatra at Ombillin power station site and had to drag some cable through the loft area of the site office. About 20ft in, I shout down to the site manager "Are there any snakes up here". "No. Just some nasty big spiders". another 10 ft in and I see massive web miss my footing and fall through the ceiling.

haha. +1 Sir Trev. My life was well organised until I moved in with my Mrs. Granted, but house wasn't always spic and span, but there would never be more than a few papers or random tools on surfaces. Everything had it's place and would eventually make it back. Organisation is the key.
Since I moved in with the Mrs, it's an eternal struggle. Just the other day we lost the vegetable peeler. It's vanished from the kitchen. Gone. Completely. Only a woman could make a vegetable peeler, an item that has no use to man nor beast beyond the realms of the kitchen, vanish in a fit of tidying.

Wot a load of tosh.
I am in the minority in this house, underpants and socks don't walk to the wash basket themselves you know! I don't know how often I have to tell the one with altheimers that the bath mat goes over the bath after a shower, or that socks don't sleep under the bed clothes with my eldest! All my tools used to live in a storage tower in the kitchen and every damn one of them over time has gone with the tools fairy and hidden in with Pegs tools, I certainly didn't help them get theres. I do however have a rather good dishwasher, that makes all the dishes get sparkly by the time I get up in the morning, and its name is Peg ![]()
