Gutted for you mate im paranoid about mine falling, when i had an xt125r i popped to a shop to get some washers they cost me 10p when i came out my bike was laying on its side and needed a mirror and handle bars. Ended up an expensive trip.

Gutted. I did this to mine recently but not as much damage. I had to replace the right front indicator - which I got off ebay and the bar end.
It really knocked my confidence for a bit and I kept panicking that I'd do it again! Its an expensive mistake.

We've all been there. Ive tried to put a bike on a stand on earth before (raining and dark after work, just wanted to jump off the bike and get indoors) and found the bike on its side the next morning, the stand a good 8 inches into the ground.

You do have my sympathy. Mine blew over in the one day of gales we had and busted up enough to cause nearly a oner's worth of damage. As a temporary fix you could just drill some holes and zip tie the bits together, look over you're left shoulder and (if available) use an old indicator (never chuck away a bolt, or any other bit you may remove!) to keep you rolling. May look a bit ****e for a few weeks until you can get decent bits. Wemoto good for some pattern and original parts. Sorry to hear your news, but make-do and mend kept me off the road for only two days albeit riding a Frankenstein-machine.

My SV fell off the stand, it was only 4 weeks old.. Smashed gear lever, clutch lever, indicator, bent bar end bolt, scuffed mirror... I sorted the bar end bolt with a hammer, grin and bearing the mirror for now but it's not too bad. Bought gear lever from Suzuki and fitted with a mate, bought indicator off ebay.

The clutch lever survived with just the ball on the end broken..

I felt like crap, but since it happened I've spoke to quite a few SV owners that have done exactly the same and all blamed the stand for not going back far enough / having enough lean. So I felt a LITTLE better.
