Well I am under way and thoroughly enjoying doing it myself.. and my ocd helps with keeping an eye on the bolts and clips .. a nice mornings work in the shed ..

Cant believe how much crud was in there.. might be part of my cleaning regime now to strip it down ..

Hard to tell from pics. If there's a visible mushrooming it won't come off. Check the link to make sure the o-rings don't look too different to the o-rings in the other links (i.e. not overly squished or not squished at all) and make sure the movement is as free as the other links. Then you're probably good.

What Fallabout said.
Any even small distortion is enough to stop the plate coming off, the important factor is the position of the plate in that the 'O' rings will function correctly.

Dyzio . Its just a did chain off e bay .. and a set off e bay for chain splitting and riveting .. not branded one .. can link u if u wanna see

Make sure you undo front sprocket nut before you grind old chain in half.

![]() Just wondering what would be good to use on a Tsubaki revit link as mine will need doing sooner rather than later. The whale tool Mark mentioned looks a bit pricey (£100+) or just go for the hammer method. |
